This is me.
My name is Emma Ryan. I am a senior at Kendall College of Art and Design majoring in Fashion Studies.
As a little girl, when I would visit my grandma's house I would spend all my time with her in her sewing room. She had tubs and drawers heaping with fabric, all sorted by color, and a small barrel filled to the brim with buttons. This is where my love for sewing started.
As I grew up clothes were always my favorite. I always had on a frilly skirt or dress with a scarf to match. I realized I wanted to give everyone the chance to feel the way I did in those dresses as a child.
In my free time I can be found swatching fabric or baking some random recipe I found on Pinterest. I hope my designs inspire you to be the very best version of yourself!
Elegant, Feminine, Inspiring
Mission and vision statement
Ema is for every woman, in every walk of life. We exist to help women see that their worth and value comes from their Creator, not what they can do or achieve. Clothes should make us feel confident in who we are no matter where we are headed, so at Ema, our clothes are designed to keep you comfortable for anything. Our products are made in safe and empowering work environments where workers are paid a living wage. Each item is made to last and when it starts to fall apart, we will take it back and mend it for you. Our goal is to slow down fashion production and stop feeding the fast fashion industry. Thank you for joining us on this journey, we are so glad you are here.

Social Responsibility Plan
At Ema our products are made in factories that abide by fair trade regulations and pay each partner a living wage. All of our partners are known by name and empowered in their work. We are working towards slowing fashion, so our clothes are made in smaller batches. Each piece is patterned to be conscience about how much fabric we are using in order to reduce our environmental footprint. When you purchase a piece from Ema you are not just supporting our brand, you are supporting our partners and their families all around the world. We are missionally minded so each year we donate 10% of our profit to Women At Risk International, a non-profit supporting at-risk and rescued women in over fifty different countries.
