The day started off with breakfast at the hotel and a quick meeting afterwards. We had plans to visit a few museums and Harrods department store.
After a quick ride on the tube we got to the Victoria and Albert Museum first. It was way larger than I had expected. It was five floors and each floor was packed with so many things collected from around the world. The fifth floor was all ceramics and It was so beautiful. There were halls of glass cases filled from floor to ceiling with tea cups and plates and bowls from many countries. After walking around for an hour or so we headed to the courtyard to sit and draw for a bit before heading out.
Next we went to Harrods and walked around for about two hours. We started with the Prada Cafe because that's all Zoë has been talking about for months. after that we ventured inside. I did not enjoy Harrods much because it was a lot of very expensive clothing that I can't afford to even look at (and it seemed like most people in there could tell that). Nevertheless it was fun to see some of the designer clothes that I usually only see in Vogue. After that we walked to a charity shop to see if we could find any good thrift finds but there wasn't a whole lot above a size extra small so we didn't spend much time there. By this point in the day we were getting pretty tired so we went back to the hotel for a while.
Later in the evening we decided to venture out to Liberty London. Their fabrics are for sale at Joanns at home but we were so excited to go and see their full collection at the department store here in London. It was a dream. The top two floors were all fabrics and it was so fun to wander around and look at everything.
Can't wait to see what fabric you bought!
